Kelsey L. Knight

Kelsey was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended Drake University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology in 2009. She worked at Pioneer Hi-Bred until she decided to go back to Drake for law school. She graduated from Drake Law School with a certificate in Global Intellectual Property and passed the bar in 2014. She worked at Culp, Doran & Genest, PLC for 2 years before joining Carr & Wright, PLC as an associate attorney in 2017. Her practice is mainly family law and criminal defense, but she also represents small businesses, probates small estates, and advises and represents clients in the LGBTQ community.

Seeing a lawyer is often a stressful experience by itself, on top of the already stressful experience that brought you into their office. Kelsey makes it a priority to understand the specific needs of each client, work with them to make sure they are comfortable with the process, and keep them informed.

Kelsey lives in Beaverdale with her fiancé and two cats. In her free time she enjoys volunteering at animal shelters, baking, and trying to keep plants alive.
